Whooo Hooo
Back online!
Man you never realize how much you depend on computers until you don't have 'em.
Although I do have to admit, it has been a little nice not having to worry about it, and Myka is on summer break so we have gotten to do some fun things. He's been swimming a lot, and here they have free family film festival going on all summer, where on Tues, Wed and Thurs you can go to the movies for free at 10am and see certain kids movies - so we did that last week.
So now back into the grove. I have a new website I am working on, continuing on the creative and self emplyed spirit I have!
Oh, and fishing - I went fishing! Last weekend we went on a fishing trip and I have to tell you, I really do love to fish, and I havent been in a long long time! So we went last weekend (got several snapper and a snook - will post a pic soon) and now I am itching to go again!
Once I finish re-installing all the software I use on this computer, I'll upload a pic!

Ugh! Laptops stink.
I am ready to throw my laptop out the window!
I have a Toshiba something or other. And I am so fed up with it! My AC adaptor must be shot, and if you wiggle it just a bit it shuts off, BECAUSE I can't even get it to charge the battery!
I need to get an external hard drive, and transfer everything to my desktop, BUT thats another issue - high speed internet doesnt seem to be a necessity out in our neck of the woods - rural - so I have to use an air card. Well verizon has a new one, one that works in the USB port of a desktop or a laptop - so we are going to upgrade to that one since my laptop seems to be nearing it's end of life....

Muffins for MOM
This was what I got to enjoy Thursday with Myka! His PK teacher is awesome, and she & the kiddos planned a "Muffins for Mom" event in his class room for Mother's Day. When we arrived, each child came out into the hallway with a rose and got their mom, escorted them into the classroom and showed them where to sit.
We got to eat Bananna Nut Muffins that the children helped make, and had drinks, all with a placemat the children made as well. I just LOVE how Myka writes his name by the way, it is so awesome to see him progessing in writing. He is really growing up! THEN we got to open our gift, a glass bottle that the chilren made using thier fingerprints for flowers, grass, etc. So of course I got to put my rose in it when we got home, and it sits on my counter!

Its nearly summer
Ahhh the weekend is almost here! Last weekend was fun, I took Myka to see Spiderman 3 opening night, with a girlfirend of mine and her three kiddos. It was really a great movie, although we love the first two as well.
Myka is a huge Spiderman fan, and while the movie was a little long, he loved it, even the scary Venom dude. Not spidey's other half...the viscious photographer who gets taken over by that gooey black stuff. He was a tid bit scary, but 5 (nearly 6) year old boys don't seem to mind!

The only part I could have done without was the added drama from MaryJane....
Now I am lookin forward to SHREK 3 coming out - we love those movies, so much fun for the entire family. And then who can forget Pirates 3 too... again huge POTC fans here. The 2nd wasnt AS good as the first but you can't beat Johnny Depp . So we'll definately go see #3.
This weekend, we are off to St Pete, Josh and I are going to a concert, and spending some time with PaPa (my dad). He just got his Captains License, and so maybe we can celebrate a little!
